At Miss River, James Beard Award-winning Chef Alon Shaya writes his "Love Letter to Louisiana" as a tribute to the great chefs, restaurateurs and local dishes that inspired him in his culinary journey. In many ways, the restaurant brings together the best of Louisiana's culinary traditions - warm hospitality, personalized service and culturally rich dishes. The ingredient-driven menu elevates beloved local fare, such as the muffuletta, red beans and rice and whole fried chicken, through complex techniques. From it's award-winning design and décor to celebrated menu, Chef Shaya has put forth a legacy restaurant worthy of it's destination.

Miss River Flower Bar

When entertaining at home, Emily Shaya loves to decorate her dining room with vintage vases and lots of flowers. Join Emily and floral designer Kim Starr Wise for a special Flower Bar pop-up shop just in time for Mother’s Day. Choose your flowers from an exquisite display of spring stems in varying sizes. Then, select your vintage vase from Emily Shaya’s curated collection. Your beautiful custom arrangement will be crafted while you dine. Reservations available on OpenTable and by calling (504) 434-5701. Floral prices vary by size and are not included in the cost of brunch.
